I was talking to Ani late last night, and the discussion was turned to Eon. In the discussion, I think I've spotted a problem considering character histories, namely Louvre's history with MP: They're too close in age. According to the storyline we have going now, Louvre works on MP in college: I like this storyline. In fact, I would go as far as to call it vital to the character developments of Louvre, and depending on Kama's thinking, possibly MP. Also, Kama and Ani and I spent a lot of time getting our scientist characters to match up: I don't want to do that again. However, as it is now, Louvre would be working on MP, in college, at about 5 years old. I mean, the guy's smart. But he's not a genius xD
So here's what Ani and I were considering: What if the LIGHT scientists created a sort of modern Fountain of Youth- A scientific forumula that slows the degeneration of the genes, or repairs the genes as they age, so that, in theory, an elderly man could appear no more then late 20s, early 30s. I think this would make it a lot easier for some our our character's stories to match up: They would still be young and everyone could, tecniqually, have the age they desire for each character. The potion could be derived from Eclipse, or it could be derived from something else entirely.
So... thoughts?

Damn I should REALLY get to sleep now...DX But this caught my intrest. :3 Anyways, umm...I think it could work. Fountain of Youth is said to be a myth but we'll NEVER know. ^_^ so I think this will work.

Lol, it seems the people in Eon never sleep, Kama xD Anyways, coo' ^__^ And, yeah, I was thinking that it was created rather then found, but depending on what everyone else says, it could happen either way 0_0

Well...*looks at the clock* Damn...it's LATE. DX We'll just have to wait and see how the others will have to say about this like later on in the day. ^^;;; But, you've got my decision and I say 'yes' and I approve of this. :3

Its a cool idea, and I sort of like the idea of a synthesized version; it might help demonstrate how advanced the scientists at the organization are. Not sure what it could be derived from other than Eons with really good healing factors; I remember that in the X-men movie Wolverine's powers kept his cells in good enough repair that he could easily have been far older than his appearance suggests. I'm thinking the scientists isolate the factors that drive enhanced healing and use that for the "Fountain of Youth". Thing is, it might be only temporary since the scientists can't naturally produce the factor like the source Eons can, unless they underwent some sort of genetic modification.
I'm interested to see how this relates to Typhos; I've always thought of his human appearance as somewhat older and decrepit-looking, and-seeing as he's immortal-he can survive just fine without the drug. He might have to remember to take steps to avoid the others discovering his lack of dependency.

Well, if we were to have this miracle fountain of youth, it wouldn't be available to all LIGHT scientists right? Only the really important people could have access to this, plus LIGHT want them around longer.
I'm leaning toward Shryia's idea that it was derived from Eons, furthering their usefulness to insane -asylum grade science. If word got out to the general public about the drug, they'd flip over it, right? Maybe it would also sway how people view Eons, making them look good, but more like nothing more than tools for betterment of everyone else. People would be like, kill the Eons, take their eternalness! Or maybe some would think they were to powerful for possessing such power, and must be destroyed and go on some holy crusade thing to stop the corruption of power, so this could be a double edged sword for the publicity of LIGHT and the Eons.
I think we should avoid overusing this drug, or refrain from it altogether, if possible. [/onecent]

Since it was me who you were talking to, Eirra, you already know my thoughts about it. Personally, I do think it's a great idea! Not only will it help sort out the timeline kinks and the such, but it's also somewhat orinigal too. I admit, I argee with Shyria too. That is a good idea, but then again, I guess my only problem is... we don't have that many eons who have the said healing factors. Could it be possible that they found one and somehow produced a massive amount of the factor to use?
Well, we'll see about the whole drug issue Kaito, I mean, this is the laboritories and these sicko sciencists will do anything with science but we can try to limit it's use though. We just needed it for Louvre so the timeline can work out better between Louvre and Master Pursuit. Yeah, it's sorta... cheating. >___________> But it works, amirite? xDD

[[ Could it be possible that they found one and somehow produced a massive amount of the factor to use?]] That's what I'm thinking. Like, they take a splice of something like Taro's DNA, and reproduce it.

Yeah, some people NEVER sleep...Like moi.
Anyways. Hrrrmm...This interests me...I do like the idea of this. It would give the scientists another reason to capture Eons. Like they needed another one.
BUT! I must interject here! The human mind and body is not made to last forever, even with longevity enhancing miracle chemicals! So even if they CAN live forever, doesn't mean that there shouldn't be side-effects. Like insanity from being able to perfectly recall their lives. Or that even though they're still 'alive and healing' their bodies are deteriorating.
I dunno. It's just an idea my caffeine-sodden brain tossed out. But it's a good one, right?

Hey, that's awesome Taro! Seems like we got that part figured out! You gets a star sticker! c: *slaps them on Eirra's and Taro's shirts*
Heh... I know what you mean Thadius. *looks at time, sees that it's practically 3 in the morning* ... >>'
SO ANYWAY. Well, yes, I see what your point is, Thad, but I don't think Eirra was intending to make Louvre live forever [he can try though o:]. We just needed to work out the storyline kinks between him and Master Pursuit. And oh, you don't have to worry about the side-effects, from what I know, Louvre sounds like... a pretty crazy guy. o_o I mean, srsly, he wants to take over the world. *whistles* Nutty much? Ryan: You can say that again. But yeah, good ideas about the whole side-effect thing though. *pets Thadius' squishy caffenie active brain*

Oh, good! That's perfect, Taro!!! Though I don't think we should let them live forever. We can just have it that they don't get it out properly.
Well, yeah, like Ani said. I don't think they should be able to live forever. Just longer then usual. As for side effect, um... yeah, Louvre pretty far gone xD xD xD
