Ok, so just to be clear: Will 20 years of LIGHT existing work with everyone's timelines?

... I meant that LIGHT was founded in the 1940's, not that our story takes place in the 1940's or anything Ani. Their research into genetics only began about...20 years before the start of the RPG. Oh and Kaito, how the heck are we supposed to discuss your plot twist and help figure out the details, or if we even want to use it if you won't tell us what it is!?!? I think 20 years is fine. Now after thinking about it a little more, it works. It isn't like 5 or something stupid like that at least.

God, five would be a nightmare >_> Heh. I'd probably have to force Louvre to build a time machine just to fit everything in xD. *giggles* Sorry, I'm in a wierd mood. Ok, so for now, let's assume LIGHT was started [roughly] 20 years previous that the RPG takes place [subject to change]. Ok, this might help ya out with Ryan, Ani [assuming the 20 year thing]: Jean joined LIGHT when he was 22, left when he was 24 and he rejoined it 16 years later. So LIGHT was around for two years prior to when he and Ryan joined it. Hope that helps with Ryan's age and everything.
We need a year that our RPG happens in. I was thinking sometime in the near furture. Or should it be a modified present [making the year 2007], so LIGHT would have been started in 1987. Now, this is a modified Earth. Do we want it to be a more technology advanced Earth, with an alternative history to it? I think that would work best, in my opinion. More leinency when it comes to changing things. I'll draw up a timeline when we decide so everyone has a visual thing to look at.

For me it HAS to be technologically advanced otherwise yah like all the stuff for my character wouldn't make any sense or work at all. Of course me being me I want it to take place in the future so that would make it around...2027 or so. Make it 2030 to be even. See, Momaru is supposed to live in Neo Tokyo. The eastern seaboard of Honshu specifically Kanto where Tokyo is was wiped out in a massive tidal wave/ earthquake 15 years prior to the start of the RPG. I don't know exactly how the area was rebuilt so quickly, but after the reconstruction, Neo Tokyo was formed from the former Tokyo, Chiba, and Kanagawa cities. They even created a floating city on Tokyo bay. The main city areas are made completely of skyscrapers.
Neo Tokyo is the most technologically advanced place in the world. Thus it's a perfect place for Momaru to live in, the ultimate cyberpunk paradise for Momaru to explore. Besides, You can't do Neo Tokyo and cyberpunk without talking about the future now can you? Wow I'll be 38 in 2027....

Obviously I knew that Bryce. BD; I'm still against the idea of LIGHT being founded in the 40's because... not only is it clithe' but it just doesn't make any sense. The reason why LIGHT was formed in first place was BECAUSE of the government shutting down laboratories. BD;;
So I'm all for 20 years; Night is too as she felt the same. And yes Eirra, that helps me figure out Ryan's age very much. I shall have to do math once I get started on his history... God, math. Dx xD
Well, this is a modified earth settings just as Eirra said, Bryce, your stuff can still happen around this time period though I have to argee with Night when she brought up an interesting point in our conversation one day.
And I agree with her. I think figuring out the EXACT years is... just putting extra effort. I mean, yes, it'd help to figure out the birth years and when certain events happens and the what not, but it's jsut causing confusions as it already is. Eirra proposes that we have it as a modified present [if we HAVE to have years, I'd agree with her] and Bryce is arguing it should be 2027 So yeah, maybe we shouldn't have years. What do you guys think?
Not to mention, not having state names, maybe this is also a good idea but I'm not sure. But if we chose not to have a state names in this, we don't have to figure out LIGHT's location and all that junk, ya know? I don't know how I feel about this exactly but hey, it's nice to get the ideas out here. xD;

I think it's a better idea to leave the exact year unknown. So it would be 20XX. We would know that it takes place in the 20th century, but not much else. I really don't think that knowing the exact date is a big deal anyways. It's more fun being ambiguous right? It would also give us a little more freedom of what to do. If we HAD to have a year, then I'd say 2030.

Yeah, I like Bryce's idea. We should have a century in mind, but as to the actual year, I don't think it's necessary. And the century should probably be 2000; I just think that would be easier then the 1940s... becuase the 1940s are kinda over done xD Apparently, it's when Roswell happened, Area 51 was started, the Philidelphia Experiment happened... so... yeah, to cliche. On the other hand, years might help to figure out ages and stuff... but then again, just knowing the century should work... State names aren't neccessary, but they would help, I think. Would it really be that hard to decide what state Eon would be based in? I would think it would be around Maryland, because that's where the Government is and stuff. Or, hell, we could even make up state names, but personally, I think that would just complicate things. Anywho, those are my thought. I really need to update the orginal post... I'm lazy

Ok, we need to have an IM conversation with everyone who is putting a scientist in Eon. So that would be: Kaito Ani Night Kama Eirra [me]
God, I'm missing someone, I know I am. Who am I missing?
Anywho: We need a time, and day, and then we can just sit down and figure ALL of this out. Also, anyone who wants or needs to have imput [i.e. Momaru] should have a time to do it too.

wow ani if I would of known that you were gonna post somethng from our IM conversation I would of typed it up nicer! oh well, I guess either way I got my point across XD
and yes I agree that we need to get on IM and talk about our scientist. umm lets see here, well from what ive been able to tell, for the next few weeks I'll be working saturdays, sundays, and thursday. No personally I dont like really getting online on nights when I have to work cause...I know how I am and I know that i'll stay on till like..god knows what time in the morning |D (ask ani she knows!) ok anyway, so basicly I get online mostly at night (I guess that makes sense huh?) and if I had to give a time I would say sometime about 8-9ish my time. I mean if anything you can always send me offline messages to contact me if its really important....
so yeah I guess thats about it

Yeah, that can work. [Wow, I actually agreed to Bryce's idea for once. BD] But yeah, one of us should make a poll about it and see what the others think about it. OF COURSE, Tusami, Kama and the others are rarely on now. -3-
Hm... I don't think you're missing anybody?
LAWL! ANY TIME SINCE I'M ALWAYS ON. BECAUSE I HAVE NO LIFE! BWAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!! *runs off laughing crazily*

Who DOESN'T hate math?! xD Well anyways, I'm not good with Timelines, trust me I'm not cause I've been rping with Shyria and we mess up the timelines all the time...lD Anyways, I DO get on often I check the site like...almost everyday but I kinda have odd brain farts then...can't think of anything to post. So there ya go, Ani Ani. Do whatever is nessesary for Timeline wise for LIGHT and I'll just go with the flow.

Any of those days would work for me really... I don't really care about the year, we just need something that will work. How 'bout we make the LIGHT foundation date unknown? That could work. It's much more open, like new characters could be introduced but have been there all along. Or something. |D 2030 sounds about right. I personally think that we should decide when the great school breakout (or whatever you want to call it) occured, so we can base everything off of that.
Or maybe we can make our own time system. Like BSB=before school breakout XD I dunno
