I think that we shouldn't do the time line thing. I for one would rather not going to do the time line. I would much rather play everything by ear and see how things turn out. Having a structured path to RP to isn't any fun at all! That's the whole point, getting to find out what what happens in the end. If the character doesn't know what his fate is, then I don't want to know either. We do not need nor want to know when or how anything very specific that makes us RP on a predetermined path like "this and that happens and so and so does this" in the RP. If you have some ideas about what you want to eventually happen to your characters in the RP, fine. For example, we know LIGHT must eventually fall, that Akane teams up with Momaru, Erria somehow makes babies with Ryan, and Taro joins PAL. Find an appropriate time when we are RPing for these things to happen. So what I say is throw out everything after the breakout and let things play out on their own.
Franky I am growing tired of all this banter and just want to get going on the RP. We already know most of what we need to get started: What the world is like, how LIGHT works, How the RPG starts, and who the characters are. I think that there is just a few things that we need to figure out still. What we really need is a basic foundation to play our characters off of. This means figuring out a bit about their past, their personalities (basically what makes them tick), and what they are doing and why they first show up in the RP when they do for characters that show up at or near the beginning of the RP. Most of this work is taken care of by those awesome profile sheets Blacke came up with. Other characters we have can be introduced whenever we feel most appropriate. Thinking up the exact scenario they show up under isn't important or very practical for that matter. For example, Momaru shows up at the beginning because he is trying to break out the Eons in the institute since he is second in command of PAL and insisted on handling this mission personally. While Akane meets Momaru later on and at first mistakes PAL as her enemy. Only basic things like that are needed before we play, and all the little details can be decided as we go along. We also need to figure out how PAL operates. I think that it also is a good idea to decide in advance who goes where and joins what initially after the breakout so we don't get confused and drop the proverbial ball. For example, Momaru goes off with Tusami and Sorin back to the PAL headquarters. Welp, that's it for now! You'll be hearing about my ideas for PAL soon!
